Balancing on top of boats

At the risk of sounding very vain, I like this pic very very much, thanks to Yao Long! I didn't even know it was being taken...

Trying to keep from falling off the top of the sampling boat en route to the RV Sonne!

  2. heya! yeah, i graduated as a marine biologist. :) i actually did the dreaded STPM and went to Universiti Malaysia Terengganu for my BSc., but i reckon that it should be the same for all places that offer marine biology: i would recommend a healthy interest in biology and a tolerance for chemistry. math is needed to get you through statistics when you need to verify your research. it would be great if you can swim so that you don't fear water (which would then defeat the purpose of taking the course). you don't need straight As, but then getting Cs would be rocking the boat. a mixture of As and Bs should be okay to get you through.

  5. sorry, been busy the past few days and my internet has been dodgy since my router was sent for repair. drop me a line at silveraven@gmail.com and shoot as many questions as you like. :) marine biology has an element of danger in them, but then again, i think all courses that involves the outdoors and field work will be dangerous. but you'll be trained to be safe and handle the danger in the right way.
